With the begging of a new year just days away I have two things on my mind; organizing and purging. A new year means a fresh start and this year my goal is to simplify and organize our lives. So today I am showing you how I organized all my jewelry and other girly odds and ends using a few repurposed vintage finds.
To start my organization process I hit my stash of vintage thrift store finds and came up with a few odds and ends that I thought would be perfect for the job. Next I layered in some of my Grandma’s vintage linens and finished it by sorting my accessories.
Can you believe the first time I spotted this vintage silver bar tool stand I put it back?!! I thought it was so beautiful with it’s stunning Art Deco details but I couldn’t figure out what I was going to use it for. Thank goodness when I went back a few days later this little cutie was still there! I knew it was fate. So I snapped it up at %50 off costing me a whole $2.
Inspiration stuck as I pulled in to the driveway! I knew exactly what I wanted to use it for! A way to organize all the necklace I wear regularly. So off to my bedroom it went! I just love the way all the pearls and crystals look against the tarnished silver!
Another really cool vintage silver find is this three tiered tray. The coolest part about it is both of the upper trays rotate 360°. This was another awesome silver find I had no idea what to do with. It actually sat on my kitchen counter for weeks collecting odds and ends. FinallyI found the perfect use, organizing all my small jewelry and any other girly odds and ends. With the addition of a few vintage ironstone dishes I have a truly unique and functional organizer!
From the use of my grandmas vintage doilies to her vintage hats, this little vignette is not only a tribute to her but a fun and fictional way to keep all my jewels in order!
It’s been 6 months since I painted our faux brick wall and I am still swooning! To check out all the details on my stenciled brick feature wall click here.
