HI All!
Can you believe that fall is finally here? Well it’s sort of here, as it is still a very balmy 93° degrees here in Texas. That being said, Fall is one of my favorite times of the year, and there is no way I am going to miss it no matter where we live! So today joining up with a wonderful Fall Home Tour hosted by Green with Decor to share my Relaxed and Cozy Fall Home Tour.
Now I can tell you that quite a bit has changed in our home since last year’s Fall-o-Ween Home Tour. Not only have we changed out or moved several large pieces of furniture in the last year, but I have also adjusted my color palettes a bit this year. This year for my Relaxed and Cozy Fall Home Tour I focused more on natural elements, warm neutral colors that would work well within my existing color scheme without seeming overdone or out of place.
So what was the perfect color combination to accent my mostly white, gray and blue home? A dash of mustard, navy, and cranberry of course!
I started by decorating my mantle and adding a few fun faux branches with berries (Similar), corn husk pumpkins (the full tutorial can be found in my Home For Fall E-Book), fabric pumpkins (Similar) and some natural dried oats.
Next I layered in some a fun fall throw blanket similar to this cranberry and gray throw and my DIY Fall Wreath Pillow (full instructions including pattern can be found in my Home for Fall E-Book).
For a little extra texture and snuggle factor I also added these adorable gray and mustard plaid pillows and what is a fall day without hot coffee in an adorable mug and home made treats!
To bring a little fall charm into our dining room I made a beautiful extra long plaid table runner. (Full instructions can be found in my Home For Fall E-Book) and of course more home made treats and adorable mugs, because you can never have too many!
While it has take me almost 2 years I have FINALLY figured out a cute way to make our nonexistent entryway a cute AND functional space! The key was finding this adorable wood slice table with hairpin legs, one oversized vintage widow chalkboard, and a cute vintage inspired coat rack.
To bring a little coziness to our tv area I simply swapped my DIY Olive Branches for some more dried natural oats stems.
Our last stop on my Relaxed and Cozy Fall Home Tour is our Romantic Industrial Master Bedroom. If you follow my blog, then you know this is my favorite place in the whole house. With it’s Stenciled Brick Walls, and DIY Insulator Pendant Lights is it my DIY dream come true. So why would my fall updates be any different?
This year I made some DIY Fall Pillow covers out of one of my favorite mediums, UpCylced fabric. The two floral pillows are made out of a garage sale table cloth (from my blogging bestie Iris Nacole to be exact), the big blue euro sham is made out of a large sweater dress, and the smaller white check pillow is made form and old dress shirt. Recycling at it’s best if I do say so my self! It’s pretty, inexpensive, easy, and it saves the planet a little at a time.
The very last thing I did was I painted a few beautiful fall watercolor leaves and added them to the frames above our bed. And as a very exciting treat for you, I’ll be offering them as a free download (Coming Soon)! So don’t forget to check back!
There you have it folks! My Relaxed and Cozy Fall Home Tour! Please don’t forget to stop by and visit everyone’s home tour! There are some seriously amazing homes out there that you won’t want to miss!
