Hi Everyone!
And a special hello to anyone jumping over from Rocky Mountain Bliss! I have a very special post for you today! This year I am participating in a fun hop that is all about getting your home ready for the Holidays.
In honor of this very special Hop I am giving you a sneak peak of my Holiday home and 5 very important tips for creating the Coziest Christmas Mantle.
5 Tips for the Coziest Christmas Mantle
- Even if you live someplace warm, add a few logs or candles inside of your fireplace. Even if it’s not lit, it adds tons of cozy winter charm
- Place a basket near your fireplace filled with comfy blankets and pillows. This helps encourage your guest to sit relax and enjoy themselves.
- Avoid limp or ill hanging stockings by slightly filling them with paper or plastic bags. This gives them a little shape while waiting for Santa to come!
- Add a wreath! Adding a wreath over your fireplace not only helps draw your eye up but the fresh (or in my case artificial garland wreath) adds some winter wonderland charm.
- Coordinate your stockings. They don’t have to match perfectly, but find a mix that are either similar in color, or texture like my DIY Sport Coat Stockings (Coming Soon). This will help unify the theme of your room. Bringing everything together perfectly!
Be sure to hop on over to Recreated Designs to hear how she readies her home for the holidays. I’ve added a link to everyone else participating {and the day they post} so you can be sure to check out all the amazing blogs in this series.

Finding Your Joy in The Journey
Thank you so much for stopping by to check out my 5 Tips for the Coziest Christmas Mantle!
So gorgeous Cat! My stockings are limp–I need to go full them with bags! Great tips!
Thank you Samantha! Since our mantle has an open space between the stocking and the fireplace they hang all weird and twisted if I don’t put something in them. The bags are a great way to give them some shape without over filling them!
Wow! Cat Your the most creative with your space! Just picture perfect! The tree look so pretty with all the plaid bows, love the added touch with the ice skates. Dreaming of Christmas at you house.
Have a wonderful holiday with your loves.
